A mother has been found guilty of murdering her three-year-old son after inflicting prolonged and malicious abuse upon him.

In November of 2022, 30-year-old Christina Robinson became enraged and aggressively shook her son, Dwelaniyah, at their residence in Bracken Court, located in Ushaw Moor, Durham.

The Crown Prosecution Service has released footage of police officers arriving at her door following the incident.

Robinson remained composed as she recounted her side of the story as the emergency personnel frantically tended to Dwelaniyah.

She intentionally placed him in hot water before, resulting in severe burns that would have been extremely painful.

After a three-week-long trial, Robinson was found guilty of murder and four counts of child cruelty.
