Archaeologists have discovered a luxurious Roman home that is over 2,000 years old.

On 12 December, Italian archaeologists discovered a breathtaking Roman dwelling from 2,000 years ago near the Colosseum in Rome.

The unique residence showcases a mosaic design incorporating shells, marble, and delicate glass.

This artifact is from the latter part of the 2nd century BC and has been described as a valuable find by Culture Minister Gennaro Sangiuliano.

The walls of the residence were first uncovered in 2018, and only a handful of rooms have been excavated since then. The excavation will continue for several more years until 2024.

The authorities have already shown their dedication to making this significant treasure available to the general public.
