Trump plans to take legal action against the removal of ballots in Maine and Colorado. Stay updated with live notifications.

After the Supreme Court ruling, Donald Trump continues to strongly express his anti-immigrant views.

According to reports, Donald Trump is worried that certain conservative judges on the Supreme Court, half of whom he appointed, may rule against him. This comes after he was disqualified from the ballots in multiple states due to the 14th Amendment’s prohibition on insurrectionists holding public office.

According to The New York Times, advisers to Mr. Trump are preparing to submit challenges on Tuesday to the recent rulings in Colorado and Maine.

Donald Trump was excluded from the GOP primary ballots due to his involvement in the January 6th, 2021 insurrection at the Capitol.

The team supporting Trump plans to submit a legal objection in a Maine court against the secretary of state’s ruling to prevent Trump from being listed on the ballot. Similarly, the decision made by the Colorado Supreme Court to disqualify Trump will be disputed in the US Supreme Court.

In the event that she becomes president, Nikki Haley has stated that she would grant clemency to Mr. Trump should he be found guilty of any offenses.

The ex-governor of South Carolina and former UN Ambassador stated that it would be in the country’s best interest.

According to NBC News, she stated that she would forgive Trump in response to a question from a nine-year-old boy in New Hampshire.

In case you missed it, Michael Cohen utilized an AI tool to create false lawsuits in a court document.

Michael Cohen, the former lawyer and “fixer” for Donald Trump, allegedly utilized Google Bard, an AI program, to fabricate legal references for his attorney, as stated in recently released legal documents.

The fabricated references were used in a legal document submitted to a federal judge in Manhattan, in an attempt to request an early termination of Michael Cohen’s court-mandated supervision. This was after he had been released from prison for his involvement in campaign finance violations, which he had admitted to in 2018.

Cohen stated in a legally binding statement, publicly revealed on Friday (December 29th), that he was not aware of the changing patterns and potential dangers in legal technology. He also did not recognize that Google Bard was a text generation tool, similar to ChatGPT, which could display seemingly legitimate citations and descriptions that were actually not authentic.

He also stated that he was unaware that his lawyer, David Schwartz, would submit the cases without verifying their existence.

The outcome for Trump will be determined by the voters, not by the legal system.

Eric Garcia writes:

For the second time in as many weeks, a state disqualified former president Donald Trump from the 2024 ballot. A week after Colorado disqualified Mr Trump from the 2024 Republican primary ballot, Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows said in a filing that Mr Trump was disqualified because he contributed to the January 6 riot at the US Capitol.

These actions are unprecedented, but similarly to Mr Trump’s presidency, his decision to not participate in a peaceful transfer of power was also unprecedented.

It is unlikely that Mr. Trump would secure a victory in Colorado or Maine during the general election of November 2024. In the 2020 election, Colorado voted for President Joe Biden with a significant lead, while Maine also favored Mr. Biden with a nine-point margin. Furthermore, neither of these states are included in the four initial primary contests: Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada.

This indicates that even if the Supreme Court were to take prompt action, the Republican primary would probably have already been determined.

The American people must defeat Donald Trump at the ballot box.

PREMIUM: Donald Trump must be defeated by the American people at the ballot box

The decision by Shenna Bellows, secretary of state of Maine, to rule Donald Trump ineligible as a presidential candidate was a mistake. That her decision was followed in a few hours by a contrary decision by Shirley Weber, secretary of state of California, confirms how mistaken it was.

The fact that two high-ranking officials in charge of elections in their respective states have come to different conclusions based on the same evidence indicates that the case against Mr. Trump is not solid.

If there is any uncertainty about Mr. Trump’s qualifications, he should be given the opportunity to run. In a democratic society, it is up to the citizens to determine who is fit for public office.

However, there is a compelling counterargument that, in reality, efforts to hinder Mr. Trump’s candidacy actually benefit him.

Where is Trump facing challenges under the 14th Amendment?

Section Three of the amendment disallows individuals who participate in rebellions or assist enemies of the United States government from assuming office.

Up until now, these difficulties have been presented in federal district and state courts in at least 16 different states.

Despite Mr Trump’s intentions to contest the Colorado ruling and potentially bring the case to the US Supreme Court, he is also getting ready for potential challenges, appeals, and rulings in other states.

‘Armpits, ketchup and butt’, oh my…

Former GOP lawmaker Adam Kinzinger has revealed new details about Donald Trump’s alleged bad odour, claiming that he reeks of a combination of several unsavoury scents including “armpits, ketchup, a butt”.

On Thursday, while appearing on The MeidasTouch Network, Mr. Kinzinger brought up the allegations about the ex-president’s unpleasant odor and proceeded to give a detailed description of it.

“It’s not pleasant. The most accurate comparison would be to combine armpits, ketchup, a butt, and makeup in a blender and sell it as cologne,” he stated.

“That’s pretty much the situation. I’ve been surprised that only now everyone is starting to become aware of this,” he stated.

According to a report, the Trump administration transported fraudulent ballots for the Electoral College to Washington D.C. before January 6th.

According to a new report, Donald Trump’s campaign team physically transported “fake elector” ballots to Washington DC in an attempt to challenge the results of the 2020 election.

As per CNN, confidential statements from witnesses in a Michigan state inquiry reveal the frantic efforts of Mr. Trump’s staff to provide Vice President Mike Pence with purportedly false documents before he could confirm the outcome of the election.

The plan known as the “fake electors” scheme revolved around the idea that US presidents are not chosen directly by the citizens, but rather by 538 “electors” appointed by their respective states based on the election results.

The team of Mr. Trump reportedly used pressure tactics to persuade state legislators to disregard the official vote and select their own electors unilaterally. When this approach was unsuccessful, they formed their own group of electors without any legal authority and encouraged Vice President Mike Pence to accept their decision instead of the legitimate electors.

Newly released audio recordings of Mr. Chesebro’s testimony, obtained by CNN, indicate that Mr. Trump’s team made the effort to transport falsified electoral paperwork across the nation in order to present it to Mr. Pence prior to the certification of the election results.

Summary: Trump barred from appearing on Maine’s 2024 primary ballot.

Maine is now the second state to bar Donald Trump from appearing on their 2024 presidential primary ballot, citing his participation in the January 6th assault on the US Capitol as grounds for disqualification.

Maine’s Secretary of State, Shenna Bellows, stated in a report on Thursday that the ex-president played a role in inciting the Capitol riots by spreading baseless allegations of election fraud and urging his followers to gather there during the certification of the 2020 election results by Congress.

She stated that President Trump was aware of the high probability of violence and initially supported its use by both inciting it with inflammatory language and failing to take prompt action to prevent it.

On Thursday evening, Ariana Baio submitted this report.

in Pennsylvania

The Republican Party in Colorado is requesting that the Supreme Court of the United States reverse the decision to remove Donald Trump from the Pennsylvania ballot.

The request from the Colorado State Central Republican Committee to the nation’s highest court on Wednesday follows an historic ruling from the Colorado Supreme Court that finds the former president is constitutionally ineligible from holding office over his role in engaging in the January 6 attack on the US Capitol.

Alex Woodward is in possession of the specifics.
