A community organization in Chicago has brightened up the holiday season by adorning numerous households with festive Christmas lights.

On Saturday, December 2nd, ‘My Block, My Hood, My City’ and their dedicated team of volunteers illuminated an eight-mile section of Martin Luther King Drive in Chicago.

The organization also offers gifts, a performance, and a positive experience for the whole community.

Lena Bivins, the program manager for the group, stated that their efforts make community members feel valued and cared for, letting them know that someone is thinking of them.
