Police are currently present in Clapham following an incident where a woman and children were attacked with a harmful substance.

A man in south London threw a suspected corrosive substance at a woman and her two young children, resulting in their hospitalization.

At approximately 7:25pm on Wednesday, January 31, authorities were called to the incident on Lessar Avenue, near Clapham Common.

Additionally, three other individuals from the general public were transported to a hospital following the occurrence.

It is believed that their injuries were sustained while trying to help the woman and her children.

A witness reported that the mother was heard saying “I can’t see, I can’t see” while someone attempted to assist her.

There have been no arrests and the police will provide an update on the status of the injured individuals as soon as possible.
