Following Ukraine’s military announcement, it was reported that two Russian warships and a communications center were targeted in an attack on the annexed Crimean peninsula on Sunday.

The city of Moscow reported that their air defense system successfully intercepted and destroyed over 10 missiles above the port of Sevastopol in the early hours of the incident.

The City of Odesa experienced a power outage in some areas due to damage caused by a Russian air strike on a high-voltage facility.

The Odesa administration announced via Telegram that multiple waves of drones launched by Russia attacked the city and its surrounding region. Four of the drones were successfully intercepted and shot down over Odesa and the neighboring region of Mykolaiv.

The administration reported that debris from a descending drone caused a fire at the power facility, but it was quickly extinguished.

By Monday morning, power in two areas of the city had been restored.

A member of the Ukrainian parliament in Kyiv informed The Independent that the missiles that struck the capital this morning coincided with the activation of air raid sirens, resulting in greater damage to the city.

“In Kyiv, today marks another day of terror,” stated Kira Rudik. “The missiles launched at us with alarming speed, coinciding with the sudden wails of air raid sirens.”

“Today serves as yet another terrifying illustration of the ongoing repercussions of not taking action against Russia.”

She expressed that it is extremely uncomfortable to feel unsafe in one’s own home. The Russian terrorists are attempting to harm everyone by targeting homes, kindergartens, and hospitals.

“We are in dire need of additional air defense systems and missiles to restore our sense of security. We must be able to wake up in the morning with confidence that we can make it through the day.”

The video on X displayed kids from a preschool hurrying to a nearby shelter as air raid alarms echoed through the urban area. According to Kyiv’s mayor Vitality Klitschko, at least seven individuals were harmed in the attack this morning.
