Live: Cohen to testify in hush money trial Monday as Trump hits the Jersey shore
Trump claims he would be ‘proud to go to jail’ for constitution

Donald Trump’s New York hush money trial adjourned on Friday after a week that included fiery testimony from porn star Stormy Daniels.

Ms Daniels sparred with the defense over alleged inconsistencies in her various tellings of the sexual encounter she alleges she had with Mr Trump. The adult entertainer remained calm and unflappable giving her account to the court.

On Saturday, Mr Trump held a “mega rally” at the Jersey Shore which was attended by some 80,000 people, according to his campaign. The former president was around an hour and a half late taking the stage, and began around 6.30pm.

Ahead of the event, he was busy on his social media platform, Truth Social, including to make a post that nixed a report that Nikki Haley was among the contenders to be his 2024 running mate.

“Nikki Haley is not under consideration for the V.P. slot, but I wish her well!” he wrote.

Ex-Trump “fixer” Michael Cohen is set to appear on Monday for his highly anticipated testimony. Judge Merchan instructed him to stop talking about the defendant in advance of his testimony.

Serena Williams dragged into Trump trial on ex-president’s contact list

Tennis superstar Serena Williams joined a growing list of celebrities dragged into Donald Trump’s so-called hush money trial after a former aide to the ex-president revealed she was on a list of names who he “frequently spoke to” in early 2017.

Madeleine Westerhout, Trump’s former executive assistant at the White House, took the stand to testify in Manhattan criminal court on Wednesday.

Barron Trump to make political debut at GOP convention

Donald Trump’s youngest son Barron has been chosen to serve as a Florida delegate nominating his father as the Republican presidential candidate alongside his siblings to at the party’s national convention.

Barron who will graduate from high school next week, will serve as one of Florida’s 41 at-large delegates, according to state party chairman Evan Powers at the convention in Milwaukee between 15 and 18 July.

Donald Trump addresses ‘mega rally’ in New Jersey

Jersey Shore was swamped with thousands of MAGA supporters as Donald Trump hit the stage in Wildwood for a sunset rally on the beach.

The former president took the stage around an hour and a half late on Saturday evening at about 6.30pm in front of 80,000 supporters, according to his campaign.

Thousands of supporters gathered on the beach and along the boardwalk throughout Saturday morning wearing Trump masks, American flag-themed outfits, and pitching giant Trump 2024 flags while conditions remained on the cooler side after several days of rain.

Biden says Trump would never accept 2024 election loss: ‘I promise you he won’t’

President Biden is certain Donald Trump will not accept the results of the 2024 presidential race if they mark a Biden re-election.

“I promise you he won’t,” the president told CNN on Wednesday during a sit-down interview in the key battleground state of Wisconsin, arguing this stance would be “dangerous” for the country.

“You can’t only love your country when you win,” President Biden added.
