According to a source close to the family, Carole Middleton has played a vital role in keeping the Waleses united after Kate’s cancer diagnosis.
The mother of three children has received commendation for her essential contribution behind the scenes for the Prince and Princess of Wales during a particularly turbulent phase for the royal family.
A contact in the Middleton family stated to The Independent: “Carole has been the leading factor in maintaining a strong family connection with a low-profile and humble approach.”
“She has transported George, Louis, and Charlotte, accompanied them to school sports games, and provided unwavering support. She has embodied the role of a modern-day Mary Poppins.”
Sources close to the Middletons have disclosed that in the aftermath of her daughter’s unexpected cancer diagnosis, Carole Middleton has been the instrumental guiding presence that has kept the Windsors united.
The source described Carole, 69, who in 1987 founded Party Pieces, a company selling supplies for children’s parties, as having provided the young family with the “three R’s”. They said: “She’s come to the rescue, provided reassurance, and has been a rock to Catherine and William as they come to terms with the news.”
The Independent has learned that Carole has taken on a more active role in caring for her grandchildren – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – by accompanying them to school. She and her husband Michael are able to avoid involvement in any family disputes and are available to offer assistance as needed.
According to the source, her behavior greatly differs from those who voice their support from a distance.
Even though Carole was one of the earliest to be informed about Kate’s diagnosis, the princess shared a sincere video message on Friday, revealing to the public that she has been undergoing preventive chemotherapy. This led to a wave of sympathy from people all over the globe.

Charles was diagnosed with cancer while receiving treatment for his enlarged prostate. Throughout their treatment, he has stayed in constant communication with his doctor.
