A male suspect has been arrested in connection with the killing of a 19-year-old female in Croydon, located in south London.
The Metropolitan Police reported that Sahil Sharma, 23, is accused of killing Mehak Sharma at a residence on Ash Tree Way on Sunday.
He is scheduled to attend a hearing at Wimbledon Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
It is thought that Ms Sharma was a recent immigrant from India to the UK.
I have notified her closest relatives and we are waiting for official identification.
An autopsy will be conducted on Tuesday.
