Halloween is approaching, and numerous A-list celebrities started the festivities early this weekend.
Even though Halloween falls on a Tuesday this year, many well-known individuals dressed up in elaborate costumes throughout the entire “Halloweekend.” Some stars honored other famous figures from pop culture, while others attempted to adhere to the new costume regulations set by SAG-AFTRA.
Last week, the guild banned its members from cosplaying as well-known characters from major studio content. Instead, they were encouraged to don costumes inspired by generic characters, such as ghosts, zombies, or witches.
This resulted in celebrities having to showcase their imaginative abilities when it came to costumes, and several were successful – with the exception of Megan Fox, who openly criticized SAG-AFTRA by dressing up as Gogo Yubari from Kill Bill.
In 2023, the most impressive Halloween costumes worn by celebrities range from Paris Hilton to Kourtney Kardashian Barker.
Adele, the recipient of a Grammy award, commemorated the eerie holiday by putting on a show at her Las Vegas residency, “Weekends with Adele”. She was dressed as Morticia Addams from The Addams Family, donning a lengthy black wig, a full-length black gown, and striking smokey eye makeup.

The duo dressed up as characters from Frankenstein, with Palmer portraying the Bride of Frankenstein and her son as Dr. Frankenstein. She shared a photo on Instagram, captioning it with “He brought me so much joy.”
Palmer chose to portray Tyra Banks’ character Eve from the 2000 film “Life-Size” with Lindsay Lohan. In the movie, the doll Eve magically becomes a living being.
Similar to her older sibling Kim Kardashian’s 2022 Met Gala look, model Kendall Jenner paid homage to Marilyn Monroe with her Halloween outfit. The 27-year-old donned a short, curly blonde wig and a black turtleneck, and even added Monroe’s iconic beauty mark on her left cheek. This year’s Halloween was filled with Barbie-inspired fashion, as country musician Kelsea Ballerini dressed up as Cowgirl Barbie from the popular Barbie movie. To complete the ensemble, Ballerini wore a pink paisley scarf and a white cowboy hat, similar to the one seen in the hit summer film.
Kourtney Kardashian Barker drew inspiration from her sister Kim Kardashian’s past fashion choices for her Halloween costume this year. The founder of Poosh recreated a floral-printed Givenchy gown that Kim wore to the 2013 Met Gala while pregnant with her first child, North West. This time around, Kardashian Barker is expecting her fourth child and first with husband Travis Barker. She shared a photo on Instagram with the caption “Freaky Friday.”
Lizzo paid tribute to Tina Turner with her Halloween costume, channeling the late musician in a leather mini dress and blonde wig. She shared photos of her outfit on Instagram, captioning it as an homage to the queen of rock ‘n’ roll who passed away at age 83 earlier this year.
