According to Kyiv, Ukraine has taken action against a naval vessel that was taken by Russia during the seizure of Crimea.
According to Dmytro Pletenchuk, a spokesperson for the Ukrainian navy, their forces attacked the Olshansky landing ship with a missile.
“According to Mr. Pletenchuk’s statement on national television, the ship is currently not able to engage in combat. There has been no response from Russia at this time.”
In 2014, Russian forces occupied Crimea and gained control of the Konstantin Olshansky and the majority of Kyiv’s naval forces from Ukraine.
“Due to its recent renovation and intended course of action against Ukraine, the decision was made to initiate an attack on this particular vessel,” stated Mr. Pletenchuk.
He stated that they utilized a Ukrainian Neptune missile designed for targeting ships.
Earlier today, a minimum of 10 individuals sustained injuries during a missile strike on Kyiv launched by Russian forces. This marks the third aerial bombing by Putin’s forces in the Ukrainian capital in the span of five days.
Mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, reported that a 16-year-old girl was one of the individuals who were quickly taken to the hospital on Monday.
Ukraine electricity imports soar after Russian attacks
According to the energy ministry, Tuesday will see the highest amount of daily electricity imports in Ukraine this year due to a series of missile attacks on key infrastructure by Russia, resulting in power outages in multiple regions.
The sweeping attacks, the biggest of which came on Friday, have caused major damage to generating and transmission facilities, forcing Kyiv to halt power exports and rely on imports.
The ministry stated that power imports are predicted to increase from 14,900 MWh on Sunday to 18,649 megawatt hours (MWh) on Tuesday.
On March 22, prior to the initial Russian attacks, Ukraine had shipped out 3,300 MWh of exports.
From February 2022, Ukraine has been linked to the unified grid of the European Union during the full-scale invasion by Russia. According to Ukrenergo, the grid operator, imports are received from Romania, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, and Moldova.
France may call upon weapons manufacturers to increase production in order to assist Ukraine.
On Tuesday, Sebastien Lecornu, the French defence minister, stated his willingness to utilize his authority to commandeer industrial capabilities or mandate weapon manufacturers to prioritize the production of weapons and ammunition needed in Ukraine and other conflict zones.
Lecornu stated at a press conference that these questions are definitely up for discussion.
He mentioned that there was a high demand for anti-air missiles and artillery shells, putting pressure on stocks and production lines.

The spy agency reports that Ukraine has apprehended alleged Russian operatives attempting to sabotage a crucial railway route.
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) reported on Tuesday that two individuals were apprehended by Ukrainian security officials for allegedly carrying out activities on Russia’s behalf. These individuals were attempting to detonate a railway used to transport weapons for Kyiv’s military operations in the eastern region.
According to the statement, individuals living in Kyiv and Kharkiv regions were detained for placing an explosive device near a line in the central Poltava region with intentions of remotely detonating it. However, the SBU officers caught them in the act.
Russia did not offer any immediate response.
According to the SBU, the occupiers were aiming to disrupt the logistical supply of weapons, ammunition, and fuel for the Ukrainian military.
According to the announcement, the phones of the arrested individuals were seized. It also stated that the person in charge of them was an officer from Russia’s primary internal intelligence organization, the Federal Security Service (FSB).
The explosive device was intended to explode during Russian bombing raids on vital structures on March 21-22, as stated.
Despite protests, Hungary will not reimplement a ban on importing honey from Ukraine.
Despite pressure from farmers protesting the impact of cheap honey imports from Ukraine on their businesses, Hungary has no plans to reimpose a ban on these products.
Last year, the administration headed by Prime Minister Viktor Orban enforced a restriction on the import of 24 agricultural items from Ukraine, which included grains, pork, and honey. However, on 19 February, the ban on honey was lifted, leading to upheaval among Ukraine’s 22,000 beekeepers.
The Agriculture Minister, Istvan Nagy, informed Reuters that the independent restriction on imports did not yield the desired results in the local market. Wholesale prices have not risen as much as local farmers had anticipated, and it has also negatively affected companies that exported honey to the EU.
According to him, the Ukrainian honey is necessary for honey exporters in order for them to fulfill their contractual obligations.

Alexsandr Lukashenko has inspected a tank battalion on Belarus’s border with Nato member Lithuania and reminded his troops that “any violation of the state border is a shoot-to-kill.”

Russian media reports that an attempted attack by pro-Ukrainian Russian fighters in the Samara region of Russia has been foiled.
According to Interfax news agency, Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) announced on Tuesday that they had prevented an assault planned by a collaborator of the Russian Volunteer Corps, an organization of Russian fighters supporting Kyiv, in the Samara region of Russia.
