On Monday, Sir Jim Ratcliffe met with representatives of supporters and leaders from the local community as he continues to wait for the Premier League to approve his investment in Manchester United.
Ratcliffe attended United’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham at Old Trafford on Sunday, his first appearance since the announcement of his prospective £1.3billion deal.
The chairman of Ineos, who observed the game with Sir Alex Ferguson, has had several meetings with club employees and associates in the past few days.
Following a meeting with leaders from the independent Manchester United Supporters’ Trust, Ratcliffe also conversed with local officials, including senior members from Trafford Council and Mayor Andy Burnham of Greater Manchester.
According to reports, Ratcliffe is already strategizing a revamp of United’s team, beginning with the addition of four new players to support Erik ten Hag’s efforts to make a late push for European competition.
