The reporter asked Ange Postecoglou if he has been keeping up with the Champions League this season, to which he responded sharply.
Tottenham Hotspur did not participate in European competitions this season due to their 8th place finish in the Premier League last year, which did not qualify them for the necessary spots.
“What is your opinion, my friend? Do you think I would have simply said, ‘Let’s see what’s on TV tonight. Champions League, yeah, I might check that out’,” Postecoglou replied when inquired if he had viewed “any of those games.”
“Yes, I do keep up with football quite a bit. I watched all of it. European football, in particular, is where you want to be.”
