Erling Haaland’s return to training is a significant boost to Manchester City’s fitness.
Since City’s 1-0 loss to Aston Villa on 6 December, Haaland has been unable to play due to a foot injury. Despite scoring 19 goals in various competitions this season, he has been sidelined.
The Norway player was seen practicing with the team before their game against Huddersfield in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday.
Jeremy Doku, who has been absent from his team’s previous eight games due to a muscle injury, also participated in training with his fellow teammates.
Both players had been undergoing individual training prior to this.
The upcoming comebacks of Haaland and Doku will serve as a warning to City’s competitors, especially with Kevin De Bruyne also making progress in his return.
The player from Belgium, who has been sidelined due to a hamstring injury since the first game of the season, returned to the team as an unused substitute in City’s 2-0 victory against Sheffield United last weekend.
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are currently five points behind Liverpool in the Premier League standings, but have a game in hand.
