Liverpool’s manager, Jurgen Klopp, commended the team’s flawless 4-2 victory against Newcastle, with Mohamed Salah scoring his 150th goal in the Premier League for Liverpool.
In his final appearance before the African Cup of Nations, the Egyptian player both scored and failed to convert a penalty, finishing the evening on a positive note. He also contributed to Cody Gakpo’s third goal and assisted in Curtis Jones’s goal.
Liverpool now holds a three-point lead over Aston Villa, who is currently in second place.
“The game was fantastic from beginning to end, with incredibly high intensity. There were many aspects of the game that I enjoyed, except for the goals we let in,” stated the manager of Liverpool.
“Everything was perfect.”
