The manager of Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp, maintains that the reinstatement of Michael Edwards as Fenway Sports Group’s football CEO has not caused him to reconsider his departure at the end of the season.
Klopp has spoken to Edwards after his appointment was confirmed on Tuesday (13 March) prior to Liverpool’s Europa League tie against Sparta Prague.
When asked if Edwards inquired about changing his decision, Klopp responded by saying, “No, he’s not foolish, which is crucial in his role.”
“That topic was not up for discussion. Can you imagine if I suddenly changed my mind? I highly doubt it.”
