The 2024/25 edition of the Nations League will commence in September of the current year, following the conclusion of the European Championship. The final match is scheduled for early June of the following summer.
After being demoted from the highest level, League A, England now belongs to League B. They will compete against the Republic of Ireland, Finland, and Greece in their group.
Scotland has been elevated to the highest level, making them the top-ranked team among the home nations in the competition. They will face off against Croatia, Portugal, and Poland.

UEFA’s president, Aleksander Ceferin, has announced that he will not seek reelection in 2027. This will mark the end of his three-term leadership at the helm of European football’s governing body.
The current regulations dictate that a president cannot hold their position for more than three full terms, including any partial terms. In 2016, Ceferin assumed the presidency, taking over for Michel Platini who had resigned due to a football ban. This means Ceferin’s term will end in 2027, unless the rules are modified.

During an unusual media briefing following the 48th Uefa Congress in Paris, Ceferin announced the following statement. “I have made the decision, approximately six months ago, that I will no longer be seeking re-election in 2027.”
It is possible that Uefa may have new leadership, which has raised many new questions.
