According to a statement by United Airlines, the airplane safely arrived at Los Angeles International Airport at approximately 4:30 p.m. and all 110 passengers on board were uninjured.
Firefighters were present at the airport, but they were not required, according to Nicholas Prange, a representative for the Los Angeles City Fire Department.
The airline announced that passengers have the option to fly to Mexico on a different flight, which is scheduled to depart later on Friday.

The landing of an emergency at LAX occurred on Friday, following the evacuation of passengers from a separate United Airlines flight in Houston, Texas. The plane had veered off the runway and become stuck in the grass. United Airlines has confirmed that there were no injuries reported among the 160 passengers and six crew members.
A video shared on social media, captured after the plane landed in Houston, displayed the aircraft at an angle with one wing close to the ground.
Last Thursday, a United Airlines flight was forced to make an unplanned landing in Los Angeles. The plane, which was headed to Japan, experienced a tire malfunction during takeoff from San Francisco. Fortunately, there were no injuries.
The video captured the moment when the plane lost a tire from its left-side main landing gear shortly after taking off. The tire fell onto a parking lot for airport employees, damaging a car and shattering its back window. It then broke through a fence and finally came to a stop in a nearby lot.
