Two individuals, an adult and a child, have passed away following a vehicle collision in Surrey.
According to Surrey Police, two additional individuals were transported to the hospital with severe injuries after the incident on Sunday evening at Red Road in Lightwater.
Police were summoned to the location at approximately 8:20pm regarding an incident involving a grey Range Rover, blue BMW, and white Audi colliding.
The BMW driver, a male in his 30s, and a child riding in the same vehicle were declared deceased after the accident.
A 62-year-old male has been apprehended for allegedly causing a fatality through reckless driving, inflicting severe harm through reckless driving, and causing a fatality while operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The authorities have requested that anyone who witnessed the accident provide any relevant details or video footage they may have.
