Tune in to see Joe Biden give a press briefing following his discussion with Xi Jinping about the relationship between the US and China in San Francisco on Wednesday, November 15th.
The leaders of the United States and China met to discuss strategies for resolving tensions regarding military conflicts, drug trafficking, and artificial intelligence.
In 2017, Xi last made a personal visit to the US. This is the first conversation between the two leaders in a year.
Biden and Xi were anticipated to converse about various topics including Taiwan, the South China Sea, the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, Russia’s involvement in Ukraine, North Korea, and human rights while attending the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit.
Both supporters and opponents of China’s ruling Communist Party gathered along the path from the airport to the conference location.
Before the meeting, White House representative John Kirby expressed optimism that the discussions would serve as a foundation for continued communication and dialogue between our two groups in the future.
