Trump tries new attack lines on Harris, shock claims emerge about ex-president: Live
Trump pledges to ‘not be nice’ to Kamala Harris, calling her ‘most far-left vice president’

Donald Trump shifted his full focus onto Kamala Harris at his rally in North Carolina on Wednesday night – his first public campaign event since Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race and endorsed his vice president as the Democratic candidate.

Despite the former president’s calls for unity after surviving an assassination attempt, Trump told crowds in Charlotte that he was “not going to be nice” and attacked Harris – who he described as “radical” and “a new victim.”

Trump also adapted a selection of his favorite rally phrases to attack Harris, declaring “Kamala, you’re fired. Get out of here. You’re fired” – a reference to reality TV show The Apprentice.

This comes as shocking new claims are emerging about Trump in a new book released by his nephew Fred Trump III.

In the memoir, Fred writes about an alleged moment when his uncle suggested that “those kinds of people should just die” in reference to people with disabilities. Elsewhere in the book, he claims he heard Trump use the n-word in a racist rant.

This comes as new details are emerging about the attempted assassination of Trump, including the shooter’s actions prior to the attack.

Manhattan DA responds to Trump motion to dismiss hush money case

The office of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has responded to a motion by Donald Trump’s legal team to dismiss the guilty verdict in his hush-money case.

Regarding the recent ruling on presidential immunity by the Supreme Court for official actions conducted while president — including, Trump’s team says, some of the evidence used in the trial, Bragg’s office wrotes:

The Supreme Court’s recent ruling thus has nothing to say about defendant’s conviction. But even if that decision required the exclusion of all of the evidence that defendant cites here, there would still need be no basis for disturbing the verdict because of the other overwhelming evidence of defendant’s guilt. For all the pages that defendant devotes to his current motion, the evidence that he claims is affected by the Supreme Court’s ruling constitutes only a sliver of the mountains of testimony and documentary proof that the jury considered in finding him guilty of all 34 felony charges beyond a reasonable doubt. Under these circumstances, there is no basis for disturbing the jury’s verdict, and defendant’s motion should be denied.

Here’s Alex Woodward with the background on the case:

Trump’s fraud trial judge rejected ex-president’s demand that he recuse himself from the case

The judge in Donald Trump’s fraud trial has rejected the former president’s demand that he recuse himself from the case.

The challenge from the Trump team stemmed from an interaction between Judge Arthur Engoron and Adam Bailey, who the judge says “accosted and started haranguing me” and “did not relay any alleged facts.”

“As no grounds for mandatory recusal exist here, it is up to me and my conscience to determine whether this 90-second, unsolicited diatribe about a law … by a non-party and non-expert who conveyed no facts, in any way affected my adjudication of a dispute over which I had presided for three and a half years,” Engoron wrote. “I hereby definitively state that it did not.”

He said he is “supremely confident in my ability to continue to serve, as I always have, impartially.”

Trump attacks Biden over speech… again

Donald Trump is on Truth Social, again attacking President Joe Biden over his Oval Office address to the nation last night.

Crooked Joe Biden’s Performance last night was DISMAL, and yet, the other Networks pretended he was the equivalent of the Late, Great Winston Churchill. The guy can’t even talk — Fake News!

Unlikely, from memory, that any of his speeches received such praise.

He also claimed nothing will happen to the protesters in Washington yesterday who burned the American flag.

If those people rioting in Washington yesterday were Republicans/Conservatives, they’d all be in jail right now, facing 10 to 20 year sentences. Under this Crooked Administration, nothing will happen to them!

Former White House physician loses it over FBI director’s ‘shrapnel’ remark

Texas congressman, MAGA loyalist and former Trump White House physician Ronny Jackson has posted a furious reaction to FBI Director Christopher Wray’s testimony to Congress that it is possible the injury to Donald Trump’s ear during the assassination attempt against him on July 13 was caused by shrapnel and not a bullet.

Jackson wrote on X:

ABSOLUTELY IRRESPONSIBLE for Chris Wray to make such a statement as Director of the FBI.

Another POLITICALLY MOTIVATED move by the man that has repeatedly weaponized his office to tear down President Trump.

What little credibility he may have left is GONE after recklessly suggesting Trump might not have been hit from a bullet.

IT WAS A BULLET — I’VE SEEN THE WOUND!

PATHETIC!!!

Here’s our reporting on Wray’s testimony:
