A London Airbnb host is requesting £68 per night for visitors to stay in “romantic” tents situated in their living area.
The price of the tents in Soho varies based on the date, and there are discounts that could potentially lower the cost to £38 per night, making it a great deal at £1,140 for a month-long stay.
On the other hand, Rightmove reported that the typical monthly rental rate in London was £2,501 in April 2023.
Visitors may be required to share their sleeping space with other guests, as evidenced by the presence of three tents in the photos of the living room on the website.
Additional features include a fully equipped kitchen, wireless internet, a designated work area, air conditioning, a laundry machine, and a hairdryer. It also includes a communal bathroom.
The Airbnb description states that you will have a memorable and romantic experience in this place that you won’t forget.
Although some may view the idea of living in a tent indoors as less than ideal, numerous past visitors have expressed admiration for the simple accommodations. The property boasts an average rating of 4.45 stars, although a few guests have reported problems with their tent neighbors.
One review states that the apartment has a great location and is easily reachable. The host is also described as responsive and quick to respond.

“However, we were required to utilize a new restroom daily, even on occasions when it was not properly maintained (containing dirt, cigarette butts, and clutter on the floor).”
Furthermore, the restrooms in the shared spaces are not well-maintained and the sink is also unclean.
“Unfortunately, we had to endure the sound from the adjacent room for two nights as the occupants were constantly coming and going without being considerate of our need for quiet.”
“We suggest staying for 1 or 2 nights as it is decent, but not for an extended period.”
The host used the chance to address the criticism, which was given as a three-star review, by stating: “I apologize for everything.”
“As the holiday season of Christmas and New Year is our busiest time, some of our cleaning staff were on vacation. We are committed to doing our best and enhancing our service.”
On the other hand, a different recent visitor had a positive encounter and rated the simple lodging four stars.
The lodging is not pretentious and is located in a highly central area, making it ideal for a brief stay. The host’s communication was excellent.
Unfortunately, a previous visitor mentioned the potential issues that can occur when renting a room with a tent in the presence of unknown individuals.
They continued to give their tent a three-star rating, stating: “The location was excellent, but the rooms, shower, and tents were small and noisy.”
“I slept in a tent in the living room, and suddenly all the other guests arrived to eat.”
In the meantime, individuals have expressed alternative ideas on the internet.
One individual wrote, “I will be traveling to London next week for some meetings with clients and new projects. I was checking Airbnb for accommodation when I came across this.”
“I have to give them credit, they even included a designated ‘office space’ for making urgent client calls – all while sitting next to a sleeping stranger who may have had a few too many drinks the night before!”
Another user commented: “While browsing for affordable accommodations on Airbnb in London, I came across this incredible deal: a TENT located in someone’s living room for only £65 per night! As an added bonus, there is a shared TOILET and SINK. It’s hard to believe that people say London is pricey…”
The other individual appeared speechless, only uttering: “What the heck.”
