A mother and daughter who were traveling for Christmas received a surprise benefit when they entered their plane and discovered they were the sole passengers in the economy class section.
On Christmas Day, Zoe Doyle and her mother, Kimmy Chedel, were on an Emirates flight from the Seychelles to Switzerland to visit their family for the holiday season.
Ms. Doyle posted a TikTok video showcasing the vacant seats, which has gained over a million views. The caption states: “Wishing you a Merry Christmas from the only women flying with Emirates today.”
The video features Ms Chedel testing out the headgear worn by cabin crew, while her daughter dances in the empty aisles and creates ‘snow angels’ on the airplane’s floor.
The selection is Mariah Carey’s festive pop hit, “All I Want for Christmas Is You”.
According to Stuff, Ms Doyle was completely surprised by the plane being empty.
“We were unaware that we were the sole occupants. I believe there were four others in first class, but they were completely separate from us. Therefore, we were essentially the only ones,” she stated.
“Due to it being monsoon season and Christmas Day in the Seychelles, it appears that there were no flights available.”
The duo received a tour of the aircraft, but were not granted access to first class, even though there were plenty of empty seats.
She shared with Stuff, “It was a great time. We had a blast talking with the flight attendants and recording humorous videos together.”
Numerous individuals have left comments on the video expressing their desire to fly without having to deal with crowds.
One user expressed their strong desire for it, while another described it as their ideal place.
“I worked a flight with only 10 passengers once. We put them all in first class and partied in the back. Best memory,” wrote someone on their experience of a quiet flight.
In January of 2022, Kai Forsyth, a student from Britain, experienced the luxurious lifestyle of traveling on a private jet during a flight from London to Orlando, Florida. He soon realized that he was the sole passenger on the plane.
Forsyth shared two TikTok videos of his unusually quiet flight, posing the question: “What would you do if you had the entire plane to yourself?”
During the eight-hour flight, he made friends with the crew, relaxed in the economy class and was amazed by the endless snacks available.
