In a society where a typical dinner or concert could be expensive, Play Airlines, a budget airline based in Iceland, has come up with a tempting deal that is difficult to turn down.
The airline is offering a special offer for a romantic trip starting at $99 to Iceland or $129 to nine popular European cities, such as London, Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Berlin, Dublin, Stockholm, Frankfurt, or Hamburg. The deal also includes a complimentary stopover in Iceland for flights between North America and Europe, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Flights take off from Boston, Washington, DC and New York.
The CEO, Birgir Jonsson, stated that Play has utilized Iceland’s close proximity to Europe to provide travelers with convenient flights and affordable prices. With the new stopover feature, passengers can now enjoy added advantages. Instead of a short layover in Iceland, travelers can extend their stay and take advantage of all the amazing experiences our country has to offer. These longer stopovers benefit both us and our passengers by allowing for affordable exploration opportunities.
Iceland is a popular destination for tourists due to its stunning natural scenery. Some top attractions include the Golden Circle itinerary, which includes the Gullfoss waterfall, the Geysir geothermal area, and Þingvellir National Park – a recognized Unesco World Heritage Site.
Some of the top sights to visit are the aurora borealis, visible in different parts of the nation, and the popular Blue Lagoon, a hot spring with rejuvenating mineral waters. Additionally, Reynisfjara boasts unique black sand beaches. For those seeking excitement, there are opportunities for glacier trekking, exploring ice caves, and spotting whales.
The promotional deal is open for booking until February 6th at 11:59 pm ET and is applicable to one-way flights using Play’s Basic Bundle. Travelers can utilize this offer for trips planned between February to May 2024 or September to December 2024.
Traveling to Iceland during the summer months may result in slightly higher flight prices.
