President Trump criticizes Haley as "mediocre at best" while court decision on $370 million fraud case is postponed: Live updates

Donald Trump attributes the unexplained red marks on his hands to artificial intelligence.

Donald Trump aggressively criticized his Republican opponent for the presidency, Nikki Haley, claiming she performed poorly as his ambassador to the United Nations.

“Mr. Trump expressed his anger on Truth Social, denouncing her false accusations, offensive remarks, and embarrassing defeat in the public eye, which are insulting to genuine American patriots. However, these criticisms could also be applied to himself.”

She should direct her frustration towards her inadequate political advisors and, most importantly, the dishonest Joe Biden.

At this time, it seems that Mr. Trump may have to be patient for the result of his civil fraud trial in New York. He is being accused of regularly exaggerating the worth of Trump Organization assets in order to obtain advantageous loans and insurance agreements.

The lawsuit was filed by the state’s attorney general, Letitia James, who is requesting $370 million in penalties.

Prior to the trial, Justice Arthur Engoron determined that the candidate was responsible for committing fraud and was expected to issue a ruling by the conclusion of January.

A court representative recently informed The Independent that the decision is expected in early to mid-February, with the possibility of changes. However, this is the current plan and the decision will be in written form without a news conference.

Haley discusses the enthusiasm for Taylor Swift among MAGA supporters: ‘I am not sure why there is such a fixation’

Last night, Trump’s opponent in the GOP addressed Jake Tapper on CNN and expressed her confusion, like the rest of us, about the MAGA media world’s sudden obsession with the popular singer.

In case you haven’t been aware, there is a belief among conservatives that Swift is a covert strategy by the Democratic party to influence the upcoming election in favor of Joe Biden.

According to records, the Trump campaign has raised $55 million from small donations to cover legal costs.

Two political organizations that backed Trump financially used over $55 million to cover his legal expenses in 2023, with the majority of the funds being spent during the latter half of the year.

Trump’s PACs submitted campaign finance reports on Wednesday, revealing that he paid nearly 50 companies millions of dollars in the past year.

Several of these companies are representing the presumptive Republican candidate for president as he deals with 91 criminal charges, a huge defamation ruling, and a potential lawsuit that could severely harm his business.

According to records, his committees have spent almost $30 million on legal fees in the past six months. As of the end of the year, Trump’s campaign and its supporting PACs had a total of over $70 million in funds available.

A significant portion of the funds raised for the campaign were donated by individuals giving small amounts. However, it should be noted that 90% of these contributions go towards campaign committees, while the remaining 10% is allocated to the Save America PAC.

Alex Woodward examines the numbers.

After much delay, Trump has finally responded to the concerning red marks on his hands.

During a pre-recorded interview with Fox News last night, Trump stated that he was not aware of the red marks on his hands that were seen when he left Trump Tower in New York earlier this month. This caused speculation and ridicule on social media and late-night talk shows.

When asked by Fox journalist Mark Meredith about the unknown dots, Trump initially denied knowledge of the topic, but later speculated that they may have been created by artificial intelligence.

Trump is attacking Haley in his latest rant, calling her “average at best” on Truth Social.

The orange candidate has redirected his focus towards aggressively criticizing his sole remaining rival, claiming that she was “mediocre at most” during her tenure as his representative to the United Nations.

“He ranted on Truth Social about her false statements, derogatory comments, and humiliating public loss, which is degrading to true American patriots.”

She should direct her frustration towards her inadequate political advisors and, most importantly, the corrupt Joe Biden and those responsible for damaging our nation – instead of the individuals who will work to improve it.

Exploring Donald Trump’s unique connection with Fox News – and its implications for other contenders.

At the preferred news outlet of conservative America, the process of nominating a Republican candidate is practically concluded and has been for some time, causing frustration for DeSantis and Haley due to the perceived bias towards Trump. Despite this, the former president frequently criticizes Fox for what he views as betrayal, including targeting his former White House press secretary, Kayleigh McEnany, who is now a contributor for Fox.

This dissatisfaction highlights the continued significance of Fox News as a leader in shaping the agenda and influencing Republican politics, rather than just reflecting it. It is essential for anyone seeking success within the GOP to have the support of Fox News.

According to Brian Stelter, a media critic and author, this also demonstrates the significant power and impact of Fox News.
