Nigel Farage delivers a passionate speech about the challenges facing the banking industry at the American CPAC conference.

During his speech at CPAC, Nigel Farage mentioned the dispute he had with a bank about his account closure, which occurred eight months prior. He had previously accused Coutts, a subsidiary of NatWest, of making this decision due to his political beliefs.

The crisis led to the stepping down of Dame Alison Rose and Peter Flavel, the heads of NatWest and Coutts.

NatWest acknowledged significant shortcomings in their handling of Mr. Farage and offered an apology, however they maintained that their choice to close his account was legal and primarily driven by business motives.

On Friday (23 February), Mr Farage stated that the current corporate culture is focused on ostracizing individuals, which also applies to our banking system.
