The platform is now prepared for a second 2020 presidential election in November as both Donald Trump and Joe Biden have obtained their party nominations.
On Tuesday evening, the ex-president became the winner of the Georgia, Mississippi, and Washington primaries as well as the Hawaii caucus. This brought him above the required 1,215 delegate count to secure the Republican party nomination.
In addition, Mr. Biden became the official Democratic nominee for the presidential election by winning the primaries held in Mississippi, Washington, and Georgia.
As the country prepares for a potential rematch in 2020, the two candidates seem to be evenly matched among voters according to the latest national poll, which was released after they were officially nominated.
According to a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll that ended on Wednesday, Mr. Biden narrowly surpassed Mr. Trump with a slight advantage of 39 percent to 38 percent.
According to a poll conducted between March 8 and 11 by USA TODAY/Suffolk University, just one day prior to Mr. Trump and Mr. Biden securing the necessary delegates, the former president was ahead by two points. This was also after the State of the Union address.
Former vice president Mike Pence is not supporting Mr. Trump and will not be casting a vote for him.

Kamala Harris’s recent visit to an abortion clinic highlights her ability to accomplish something that Joe Biden may not be able to do.
Although some of Harris’s supporters claim that she is under heightened scrutiny due to being the first Black and South Asian female vice president, this aspect may actually aid her in connecting with Democratic voters. Being 22 years younger than Biden, Harris is more adept at discussing topics such as abortion rights, compared to those who were politically active during a time when white men held the majority of power in both parties and many Democrats were against abortion rights.

The White House has informed Speaker Johnson that the impeachment proceedings against Biden are now considered concluded.
The White House is requesting the termination of the six-month-long impeachment investigation into President Joe Biden and his family. They claim that Republican investigators have been unable to uncover any proof of the president’s wrongdoing.
White House Counsel Ed Siskel penned a harshly worded letter to House Speaker Mike Johnson declaring that the Republican-led impeachment efforts are essentially dead. He referenced reports from ABC News, Punchbowl News, and Fox News where Republican politicians admitted to reporters that the inquiry is crumbling, lacks evidence of any impeachable offenses, and has failed to pinpoint a specific crime to justify impeaching Mr. Biden.
The Independent received a letter that referenced Ken Buck’s upcoming departure from his role as a Colorado Republican and representative in the House. Buck stated that one reason for his resignation is his colleagues’ choice to focus on impeachment as a social media matter rather than a constitutional concept.

There has been a slight decrease in consumer confidence in the US, however, the majority anticipate a further decrease in inflation.
Customers have become marginally less positive about the state of the economy in the current month, although they still anticipate a decrease in inflation, which could indicate that there will be a continued deceleration in price rises.
