According to reports, a staff member at the London Clinic in Marylebone tried to access Kate’s records while she was receiving treatment there for 13 days in January, after undergoing abdominal surgery.
The CEO of the London Clinic, Al Russell, stated that individuals who deliberately violate the trust of patients or colleagues have no place at the hospital.
The UK’s data confidentiality overseer, the ICO, is investigating the purported violation of royal data and is currently evaluating the details.
If hospital employees are found to have unlawfully viewed her records, they may be charged with a crime by the data protection authority and fined without limit.
The health minister, Maria Caulfield, stated that accessing unauthorized notes is a serious and severe matter.

The private clinic in January 1982 provided treatment for the Princess of Wales.
