Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, an armourer for the film 'Rust', has been convicted of involuntary manslaughter.

Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the firearms handler who provided Alec Baldwin with a weapon during the production of the movie Rust, has been convicted of unintentional homicide related to the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in 2021.

The jury spent two and a half hours discussing before announcing their decision on Wednesday, March 6th at the First Judicial District Courthouse in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Following the announcement of the court’s decision, the judge instructed that the defendant be placed in the custody of deputies.

Gutierrez-Reed was also charged with tampering with evidence after being accused of giving a small bag of potential drugs to a colleague in an attempt to conceal them following the shooting.

She was acquitted of that accusation.
