George Galloway criticizes Labour, Conservatives, and Budget during his return to the Commons.

During his first House of Commons speech since returning to parliament, George Galloway criticized both Labour and the Conservatives, stating that the general sentiment among most people is for a “plague on both their houses”.

The head of the British Workers’ Party denounced the chancellor’s Budget as a “complete non-entity” that would provide no relief for Rochdale, the town he currently serves.

During his first appearance in the House of Commons after pledging his loyalty to the King and assuming his position, Mr Galloway also praised his predecessor, Sir Tony Lloyd of the Labour Party, who passed away from cancer. This vacancy resulted in the by-election that ultimately led to Mr Galloway’s win.
