People living in the area have ridiculed two drivers whose vehicles were damaged by waves when they became stranded on a popular vacation spot by the sea.
Images displayed the damaged remnants of a Peugeot 206 convertible and a Vauxhall Corsa, both of which were demolished on the shores of Blackpool, Lancashire.
The council representatives stated that the drivers took the cars onto the beach near South Shore, and were subsequently stranded as the tide came in rapidly.
The strong waves caused the vehicles to be thrown about, causing one car to overturn and partially carrying the other one out into the ocean.
The vehicles, which had missing wheels, smashed windscreens, and significant bodywork damage, were finally rescued by officials on Thursday (February 29).
A representative from Blackpool Council stated that two cars were taken off of South Shore Beach on Thursday evening.
We have reached out to the owners who are registered and will work to retrieve the expenses incurred.
”
“We acknowledge that the cars got trapped in the sand and the drivers were unable to move them off the shore before the rising tide arrived.”
Fortunately, there were no injuries. However, this serves as a reminder that only authorized vehicles should be allowed on the beach.
Residents who saw the images of the destroyed cars did not sympathize with the owners for choosing to drive on the sandy beach.
Someone commented on social media: “The CD player only accepts Wet Wet Wet as a valid playlist.”
Someone else added, “The new aquatic vehicle for James Bond has been a failure.”
One commenter also mentioned their disapproval of the parking: “You shouldn’t park there, buddy. I hope the traffic officer didn’t see it.”
