During Thursday’s episode of Question Time, Fiona Bruce and Andrea Leadsom engaged in a heated discussion about the lack of action taken regarding the Post Office scandal.
The host of the programme had a disagreement with the junior Conservative minister and MP for Northamptonshire South. This occurred after she stated that politicians have been advocating for justice for subpostmasters for a significant amount of time.
“That was not the case,” replied Bruce.
According to lawyers interviewed by The Independent, many subpostmasters who have not filed claims may be hesitant to do so due to a lack of trust in the government and Post Office, potentially stemming from past traumatic experiences.
