According to recently released court documents, Sarah Ferguson, the former wife of Prince Andrew, visited Jeffrey Epstein’s Florida residence at least once.
Juan ‘John’ Alessi, employed at Epstein’s residence in Palm Beach for approximately a decade during the 1990s, gave testimony in 2009 stating that he had observed Ms. Ferguson at the residence with the Duke of York, but only briefly.
If the statement is accurate, it reveals additional information about the connection between the Duchess of York and the discredited financier. He passed away in prison in 2019 while facing charges for sex trafficking.
The testimony of Mr. Alessi was initially released several years ago, but his mention of Ms. Ferguson seems to have been overlooked until this week when it was included in a large number of recently unsealed legal documents.
The documents include over 100 references to Andrew, who has been accused of sexual misconduct but firmly denies any misconduct.
The Independent has requested a statement from Ms. Ferguson through her organization, Sarah’s Trust.
Ms. Ferguson, who divorced Andrew in 1996 but has maintained a close relationship with him, has faced scrutiny for her connection to Epstein.
The well-connected financial expert provided her with a sum of £15,000 to assist in repaying her debts. She later referred to this exchange as a “massive mistake.”
In February 2010, while Epstein was under house arrest for engaging in sexual activities with minors, The Daily Mail stated that Ms Ferguson had visited him in New York City. Last May, this incident was reported.
During his testimony, Mr. Alessi stated that the Duchess and Duke of York were “friends” with Epstein and had gone to his Florida residence together.
When questioned about whether they had ever received massages while staying at the location, Mr. Alessi confirmed that Prince Andrew had, but that Sarah only visited once for a brief period of time.
“I don’t think she slept in there. I cannot remember. I think she was visiting Wellington and she came to the house and we met her.
“Prince Andrew, indeed – he stayed with us for several weeks.”
