A deceased individual was discovered during the search for a 65-year-old woman who had been reported missing from her residence in Norfolk eight days ago.
Kim Wilde was last spotted at her home in Thetford, Norfolk at approximately 4:20pm on January 5th. A large-scale search was launched after she was reported as missing.
At 10:30am today, the police have officially announced the discovery of a body in the Little Ouse River, located south of Thetford Power Station.
Although the body has not yet been positively identified, her family has been notified of the progress.
The Norfolk Police released a statement saying that investigations are still ongoing, but the death is not considered to be suspicious. They will prepare a file for the coroner.
In previous requests, authorities expressed growing worry for her safety, while investigations by the Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service and Norfolk Constabulary’s Marine Unit were concentrated on the River Thet.
An appeal stated that she is 5ft 3 inches tall, Caucasian, of average body size, with short dark brown hair. She may have been wearing a grey jacket with a hood, dark grey leggings, and carrying a white handbag when she left.
The report stated that Ms. Wilde had a slow pace and may have appeared weak to observers.
This news follows the discovery of a corpse in the River Dee, located in north Wales, as part of the effort to find 39-year-old Lucy Charles who had been reported missing.
On December 22, 2023, she was reported missing from Bangor-on-Dee. There were several requests for any information regarding her location.
Although her identity has not been officially confirmed, her family has been notified.
