Authorities are urgently seeking information following an incident where a 52-year-old female was injured with a thrown substance at a local tavern.
The woman, who was deeply upset, was strolling through the Golden Lion pub in Basingstoke, Hampshire, when someone threw a chemical on her hair and back.
According to authorities, the substance resulted in a burning feeling on her skin and caused blisters. She also had to get her hair removed because it had become tangled.
The assault took place sometime between 9:30pm and 10pm on Saturday, February 10. Two individuals, aged 48 and 53 and hailing from Basingstoke, have been apprehended for suspicion of intending to cause severe physical harm.

Kent police are currently investigating an incident in Ramsgate where a man was hospitalized on Sunday due to burn injuries caused by a “noxious substance”.
According to authorities, the individual was on foot on Manston Road at 8:20pm when he was assaulted upon entering St Laurence Graveyard, located in the village of St Lawrence and part of St Laurence-In-Thanet Church’s property.
He was quickly taken to the hospital to be treated for burns on the back of his head. He is still hospitalized, but his injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The police are asking for anyone who may have seen something to come forward, as they are conducting an investigation to determine what happened in the incident.
