Authorities are searching for an individual who attacked with a knife in a shopping mall located in the eastern part of London.
According to reports, the victim was stabbed in the back at The Brewery and emergency services were notified at 12:53pm on Tuesday.
Video clips being shared on social media depicted customers being evacuated and escorted outside following the occurrence.
The Metropolitan Police suspect that the stabbing took place in a stairwell at The Brewery. The victim, a male, was transported to the hospital and the police are waiting for an update on his well-being.
Authorities have initiated a search to locate the suspect, and the area of the crime remains secured.
A representative from the Metropolitan Police stated that authorities were notified at 12:53hrs on Tuesday, 20 February regarding a man who had been injured at The Brewery in Romford.
Police and the London Ambulance Service [LAS] were present at the location. Witnesses at the scene reported seeing a man with a wound caused by a knife to his back.
A local search resulted in the discovery of the victim [no additional information provided]. The victim was transported to a hospital in east London. We are waiting for an update on their condition.
During the initial stages, it is believed that the stabbing occurred within the stairwell at the Brewery. Investigations are currently being conducted to determine and find the perpetrator.
