Jacob Elordi has disclosed the genuine motive behind his constant habit of carrying a purse with him.

The actor from Australia is set to play a moody and difficult character in Euphoria and a stereotypical football player in The Kissing Booth, but in reality, he is quite different. Elordi’s real personality is passionate about fashion, particularly designer handbags.

The 26-year-old celebrity from Hollywood has always had a love for purses ever since realizing their practicality. In an interview with GQ Magazine for their 2023 Men of the Year issue, the lead actor in Priscilla shared how his fondness for these accessories turned into a high-end collection after moving from Australia to Los Angeles.

How Elordi sees it – being from Australia taught him about the function of bags, while the Saltburn star’s mature taste in purses was a consequence of his fame.

“In my hometown, it was customary to wear bum bags, also known as fanny packs,” he explained to the media source. “Whenever I go out, I make sure to have something from each category with me in case I become bored – a book, notepad, film, camera, and pen.”

In his appearance on GQ’s “My Essentials” series, Elordi revealed the items he carries in his Shakespeare and Company tote bag. He finds them entertaining enough to always have with him. The bag contains a deck of cards, watercolors, a vintage cigarette case, four books, and film. His latest must-have is a pocket watch set to Australian time, a gift from his mother.

I have never purchased a bag. Perhaps that should be something that is brought to light about Hollywood,” the actor admitted. “Many people envy that lifestyle. I mean, it’s great to get them for free.”

Elordi expressed admiration for the luxurious lifestyle, but noted that wealthy individuals often do not spend their money and instead receive free items, which he finds astonishing.

While Elordi does not typically browse through Bottega Veneta or Louis Vuitton in pursuit of the latest fashion straight from the catwalk, he appreciates and respects the craftsmanship of these luxury leather items when they are gifted to him by brands.

Moreover, the actor takes pleasure in attending fashion shows and occupying a front row seat at a designer’s seasonal debut. In fact, Elordi has been spotted roaming around London, Milan, and Paris, making his way to Burberry and Valentino with a bag slung over his shoulder.

However, despite gaining recognition for his street style and being invited to exclusive fashion shows every season, Elordi remains dedicated to his acting career. Currently in theaters, Sofia Coppola’s “Priscilla” features Elordi as the iconic Elvis Presley. Collaborating with co-star Cailee Spaeny, who portrays Priscilla Presley, the two were able to accurately portray the reality of the famous rockstar’s wife on the big screen.
