Dua Lipa, a singer and songwriter from England and Albania, has been named the new worldwide ambassador for Yves Saint Laurent Beauty makeup.
The individual who is 28 years old and has been representing the Libre fragrance for the brand since 2019, will now have a bigger role and work together on a three-part campaign to introduce the new lips collection, YSL Loveshine.
The marketing initiative will kick off with the release of Candy Glaze lip gloss stick, followed by the launch of Wet Shine lipstick on March 15. In April, a range of nude shades will be rolled out nationwide, with the release of a final product scheduled for later this year.

In the past, YSL has appointed several other beauty representatives such as musician Lil Nas X, actress Zoë Kravitz, actor Austin Butler, and the first UK-based ambassador, Yasmin Finney, known for her role as Elle Argent in the Netflix show Heartstopper.
Lipa had her first acting experience in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie, playing the role of Mermaid Barbie. She also lent her talent to the official soundtrack of the highly-acclaimed film, with her track “Dance The Night”.
During the beginning of February, Lipa was selected among 40 women to appear on the last cover of Vogue by former editor-in-chief Edward Enninful. The cover also featured other notable figures such as Oprah, Naomi Campbell, and Victoria Beckham.
