A camera captured the moment a rare rhino calf was born at Chester Zoo.
On Sunday, November 12th, a zookeeper witnessed the birth of an eastern black rhino named Zuri.
According to Rhino team manager Emma Evison, the duo has been inseparable and the younger one is consistently eating and showing growth in both size and weight.
The birth of this animal will contribute to the conservation of a species at risk.
The African wild currently has less than 600 remaining individuals of this species, which has been deemed critically endangered by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
