McDonald’s and Crocs are teaming up to create spicy footwear that draws inspiration from the animated characters featured in the fast-food chain.
The well-known maker of the delicious McFlurry is teaming up with a renowned shoe company to launch a set of four exclusive sandals on November 14th. This limited-time collection will include three classic Crocs as well as slip-ons in the company’s signature red and yellow colors, along with designs inspired by Grimace, Hamburglar, and Birdie.
Crocs and McDonald’s have partnered for the first time to release a collaboration. The collection, which includes shoes, socks, and Jibbitz charms, was inspired by both Crocs fans and McDonald’s loyal customers. The collaboration will be available in various countries starting tomorrow, with the collection going live at midday.
The statement continued, describing a variety of shoes including a Classic Clog with a McDonald’s twist and a special collection inspired by beloved characters like Grimace, Birdie, and Hamburglar. These shoes are meant to allow fans to express their enthusiasm in a bold way on a daily basis.
The Grimace sandals will have a layer of strong purple fur on the inside, and the outer straps will have holes for adding themed Jibbitz. The Birdie design will have pink bows, white goggles, and matching insoles. The Hamburglar-inspired Crocs will have black and white stripes, eyes that pop out, and yellow soles.
Along with the iconic golden arch of McDonald’s, customers will also have the option to choose Jibbitz add-ons in the form of a pack of french fries, a soda cup, a carton of McNuggets, and a Big Mac.
Each individual pair will be priced at $70 to $75, with the option to purchase matching socks for an additional $20. The complete collection will be available for purchase at Crocs retail stores and certain wholesale locations.
The recent partnership between McDonald’s and Crocs offers a delightful combination, but the witty collection follows the shoe brand’s bold release just a little over a month ago. On October 5th, Crocs blended a Western style with edgy grunge to create their own cowboy boot design.
The “foul” shoe had a long and flexible structure, featuring two spurs along the fake leather shaft. Precise stitching and a textured front resembled a traditional cowboy boot, while also showcasing the brand’s quirky style.
These $120 boots, made in accordance with “Croctober,” the time of year when the brand releases a new style, riled up fans online, eager customers debating harsh critics over the inventiveness and look of the spongy boots.
“Why…why are these not hateable?” asked one individual, as another commented: “Crocs has unveiled cowboy boots. That’s all the internet I can handle for today.”
