What do the search operations for finding Riley Strain involve?
The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department has been actively searching for Riley.
On Monday, a helicopter from the MNPD conducted a search in the downtown area, including the riverbank. Meanwhile, detectives searched on foot.
His friends and family have been tirelessly searching for Riley since he went missing. His mother and stepfather have also joined the effort in the past few days.
Boats were utilized on Wednesday evening to search the Cumberland River for Strain while investigators redirected their attention to examining surveillance footage. According to the last tracked location of Riley’s phone, it was near Public Square Park by the Cumberland River.
“The unfortunate aspect of this scenario is that every day we receive fresh prospects and pursue various paths,” Mr. Dingman stated to WSMV4.
“We will reach our destination, but this also reveals additional possibilities of what may have occurred.”
In addition, Riley’s parents have traveled to Nashville in order to help with the search efforts.
Chris Whiteid, the stepfather of Strain, expressed his concern to News 2, saying, “This is absolutely the worst nightmare. Riley usually communicates with us, whether it’s with me or his mother. He speaks to his mother three or four times a day. For him to not have spoken for this long is not something that is typical.”
As of March 16th, it had been one week since Mr. Strain’s disappearance. Mr. Whiteid informed NBC News that he and his wife are still actively searching for him.
“We remain optimistic and are looking ahead as he returns home, and with our graduation in May, life will continue as usual,” he stated.
