A gray whale was found beached in Malibu, California under unknown circumstances prior to its passing.
On Saturday, March 16th, a marine mammal weighing 13,000 pounds was found stranded on the shoreline of Little Dume, a quiet beach often frequented by surfers.
The California Wildlife Center, located in Malibu, was notified about the incident and released a statement on Sunday confirming that the whale had died.
“I am heartbroken to witness a baby not survive,” shared Suzy Forman, a resident of Point Dume for 20 years.
