At Paris Fashion Week, Cole Sprouse’s huge blazer has inspired comical memes.
The 31-year-old performer was seen in Paris, France, on March 3rd as he went to Balenciaga’s Fall/Winter 2024-2025 presentation, where the company revealed their newest women’s clothing line. For the event, Sprouse chose to wear black and grey checkerboard trousers, a beige turtleneck top, and black formal shoes.
He finished off his ensemble with a striking, oversized brown blazer that had oversized shoulder pads and loose sleeves. Fans on the social media platform X, previously called Twitter, have been posting their entertained responses to the former Disney Channel star’s big coat.
One person joked that Cole Sprouse was prepared to lip sync for a title, recognizing the possibility of a reveal costume. Another commented on the outfit, calling it “goofy.”
One person commented, “This reminds me of the Koopas from the 90s Mario movie,” referencing the turtle-like characters in the 1993 Super Mario Bros film.
Some individuals proceeded to post jokes using internet images related to the clothing, such as a widely used GIF featuring Michael Scott, played by Steve Carrell on The Office, wearing an oversized suit.
Someone joked that Sprouse’s large shoulder pads made them look like they had just walked out of Best Buy with a plasma TV.

Besides the actor from Riverdale, there were many other well-known celebrities in attendance at Balenciaga’s fashion show on Sunday. This included Serena Williams, Anna Wintour, and the brand’s ambassador, Kim Kardashian.
The creator of Skims dressed in a long black lace dress with flowing sleeves, with her hair swept up in a ponytail that revealed a daring cutout in the back. Surprisingly, a Balenciaga tag hung from the neckline as an added accessory to her ensemble.
On social media, it was speculated that the reality star had unintentionally left the stamped grey label on the dress. However, while at the fashion show, Kardashian deliberately kept the tag on her outfit.
At the Fall/Winter 2024-2025 fashion show, a range of dresses were featured that were constructed from sweatshirts, folded panties, shoe bags, backpacks, and duffle bags. The collection’s theme involved Balenciaga’s creative director, Demna Gvasalia, using baggy denim pants as tops and draping suits as halter-neck pieces, with only the front half of the body covered.
In an interview with Vogue, Gvasalia shared his enjoyment in designing these outfits, such as a boa-made cocktail dress and a slip evening dress made from bras.
