A shooting spree in Northern Germany results in the deaths of four people, including a child.

On Friday, authorities announced that four individuals, including a minor, were fatally shot in northern Germany. The perpetrator, who is a soldier, surrendered himself to police.

Four people were shot last night in rural areas near Hannover and Bremen, according to a statement from authorities. The shootings occurred in the towns of Scheessel and Bothel.

According to authorities, the individual responsible for the shooting, identified as a German soldier, turned himself in to law enforcement shortly after the incident.

The reason for his actions was not immediately evident, however, it was mentioned that a potential reason within the family context should not be dismissed.
