George Galloway abruptly leaves a television interview when Jeremy Paxman confronts him about his election night win.

The 2005 interview with Mr. Galloway, which was recorded following his defeat of Labour’s Oona King, has resurfaced and is now gaining attention again after The Workers Party of Britain’s recent by-election success in Rochdale on March 1st.

During his appearance on the BBC election night special, Mr Galloway expressed frustration towards Paxman for asking about his Labour opponent and deemed it as disrespectful towards his new constituents.

Mr. Galloway expressed frustration when Paxman questioned him about feeling remorse for removing Oona King, one of the few black female members of Parliament, saying “They picked me. Can’t you even bring yourself to offer congratulations?”
