Sunak takes aim at Starmer: ‘We expel antisemites, he makes them Labour candidates’

George Galloway is certain that he will be elected as the next Member of Parliament for Rochdale, as polls open for the town’s by-election.

The candidate from the Workers Party of Britain, who was removed from the Labour Party in 2003, is currently favored by bookmakers due to the failure of the Labour campaign.

The Labour party has rescinded its backing for Azhar Ali, their candidate, after he insinuated that Israel was involved in the massacre of their own people on October 7th. Therefore, the party no longer has a candidate.

At Prime Minister’s Questions on Wednesday, Rishi Sunak utilized Mr. Galloway and Mr. Ali to allege that Keir Starmer has chosen Labour candidates with anti-Semitic beliefs.

The prime minister announced that residents of the Greater Manchester town will have the option to vote for “three ex-Labour candidates, two of whom have been accused of anti-Semitism.”

“We remove anti-Semitic individuals from our party, while he chooses to run them as candidates for the Labour party,” he stated.

Both Mr. Galloway and Mr. Ali have denied accusations of being antisemitic.

Simon Danczuk, an ex-Labour MP for Rochdale who is standing for the right-wing challenger party, has accused Mr Galloway’s campaign of “whipping people into a frenzy”.

Other candidates are Iain Donaldson (Liberal Democrats), Paul Ellison (Conservatives), Michael Howarth (Independent), William Howarth (Independent), Ravin Rodent Subortna (Official Monster Raving Loony Party) and David Tully (Independent).
