To ignite your imagination for your dream wedding, here are the latest trends for when you exchange your vows and tie the knot…
Short and sweet
According to Tsitsi Lynn Makuni, the group show manager for The Scottish Wedding Show, there has been a growing trend in the popularity of short dresses over the last few years.
Makuni mentions that the popularity of non-traditional wedding celebrations and elopements is increasing, which means that the trend of wearing short dresses is not likely to slow down anytime soon. Short dresses are a great way to make a statement for these types of events.
Kate Beavis from sustainable wedding blog Magpie Wedding and Gown Indie Bridal Market suggests that short dresses are ideal for urban weddings as they create a more laid-back atmosphere. She also notes that the current trend of overskirts complements these dresses well, as they can be worn for the ceremony to add volume and then taken off for dancing at the reception.
