The identity of the 16-year-old victim who was fatally stabbed by two masked individuals in Bristol has been revealed as Darrien Williams.
On Friday, Avon and Somerset Police stated that they have not yet formally identified the victim, but they believe it to be Darrien.
The family has been notified and is receiving assistance from trained officers who specialize in supporting families.
According to authorities, Darrien was assaulted in Rawnsley Park, Easton on Wednesday by two masked individuals who then fled the area on bicycles before ultimately ending up on Stapleton Road.
A motorist provided assistance to the victim, and at 6pm an ambulance was summoned to the A420 in Old Market in response to a report of a harmed boy.
Darrien was treated by paramedics at the location, but ultimately passed away due to his injuries.
Two 15-year-old teenagers were arrested on Thursday evening for allegedly committing murder.
They are currently in police custody while investigations are still ongoing.
Neil Meade, the lead detective on the case, stated that they are tirelessly investigating to determine the details surrounding Darrien’s passing and will not stop until the perpetrators are held accountable.
“The passing of yet another young life is heartrending and my sympathies go out to Darrien’s loved ones.”

Avon and Somerset Police have implemented increased stop and search capabilities in certain areas of Bristol following a stabbing and other similar incidents in recent weeks.
A recent police initiative aimed at reducing youth violence has been implemented in the entire policing jurisdiction.
Today, law enforcement officials have also had discussions with school principals to explore methods for the police to offer assistance and comfort as students return from their mid-term break. Additionally, officers will be conducting additional patrols around schools next week.
For the next few days, a police station on wheels will also be present in the vicinity.
