Zendaya wore a stunning outfit from the past to the premiere of Dune: Part Two in London.
She plays warrior Chani in the franchise and wore a robot-inspired silver one-piece with see-through panels, taken from the Mugler autumn/winter 1995 collection.
Zendaya’s look, inspired by Dune, featured slicked-back wet hair styled by her longtime collaborator and “image architect” Law Roach. The outfit was completed with a bold Bulgari necklace.
The attire is similar to a modernized version of the one Beyoncé wore during her recent Renaissance world tour.
Zendaya and her Dune co-stars walked the red carpet, which was uniquely made of sand. Timothée Chalamet, who portrays Paul Atreides in the movie, donned an outfit created by designer Haider Ackermann from France.
Some of Chalamet’s most memorable red carpet looks are by Ackermann – such as the red backless look he wore to the Venice Film Festival in 2022. For the Dune premiere, he donned a boxy short-sleeved black top, a white shirt underneath and shiny metallic trousers with black detailing.
Florence Pugh, a British actress who plays Princess Irulan in the cast, donned a Valentino outfit. This comes as no surprise since she is an ambassador for the high-end fashion brand. Her sequinned, backless, and hooded chocolate brown gown was styled by Rebecca Corbin-Murray.
Pugh was accompanied by her grandmother, Pat, at the event. Pat has previously accompanied her on the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival.
In Dune: Part Two, Austin Butler takes on the role of a villain, showcasing his fashion sense while promoting the 2022 biopic of Elvis.
At the London premiere, he stayed true to the current slouchy tailoring trend and donned a combination of wide-leg black pants, a lengthy jacket, and a white tank top all from the brand Gucci. He certainly didn’t disappoint.
Rebecca Ferguson, an actress from Sweden, is reprising her role as Lady Jessica, the mother of Paul Atreides, in the Dune film. She stunned in a Fendi Couture dress from the spring/summer 2024 line, featuring a black design with silver accents and a dramatic asymmetrical train.
Actress Anya Taylor-Joy, known for her role in The Queen’s Gambit, made a statement on the red carpet, sparking speculation that she may appear in Dune: Part Two. She donned an ethereal all-white ensemble, featuring a pleated dress with a plunging neckline and a sheer headscarf covering her head.
The attire was personally designed by the French fashion brand Dior. Taylor-Joy serves as a representative for the brand and frequently dons Dior for her public events, including a standout yellow outfit at the 2021 Emmys.
The second installment of Dune will be released in theaters on March 1.
