SpaceX has launched a lunar lander with the goal of achieving the first American moon landing since the final Apollo mission in 1972.
On Thursday, February 15th, a Falcon 9 rocket successfully launched from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida during the early morning hours.
The Intuitive Machines moon lander is being transported by the SpaceX rocket to a location approximately 230,000 miles from Earth.
The ‘Odysseus’ mission successfully launched and is scheduled to land on February 22nd after spending a day in lunar orbit, pending no complications.
